Dark horse driven, you befiend me
Towered and small the palace waited
Cats and rats; unfinished scenery
Not one of these things were hated
Dogs of war were near and yet cute
Fed us with things from the man
Playing with things that hadn't been bought
In to the fire and out from the pan
Music and trinkets galore, horah!
Golden showers and desert roads
Sometimes I can't believe what I saw
By being led, though I suppose
Look not for the foe and shake hands
With the devil himself and his kin
Wait for the call, banquet & hall
Before the festivity is to begin
Wheels of white to carry communion
And workers of apron and knife
Sped to and fro on tight scheduele
To cater to man and his new wife
